RISMEDIA, Dec. 12, 2008-Falcone Group, the developer of The Residences at Two Liberty Place, announced that they have succeeded in relocating one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the country, Rae, to the 37th floor of Philadelphia’s premier luxury property. Rae, headed by renowned Executive Chef Daniel Stern, is currently located in Philadelphia’s Cira Centre building but will move to an 11,000 square foot space in Two Liberty Place, one of the landmark towers of the city’s skyline. The restaurant is slated to open in late 2009 for both residents of Two Liberty Place and the general public.
Perched some 500 feet atop the sprawling Philadelphia metropolis below, the new venue for Stern will be the highest restaurant in the region. While design for the spectacular space is just underway, the primary art can be thought of as already in place-wall-to-wall, unobstructed, breathtaking views that span over 40 miles in every direction.
Notwithstanding the second-to-none culinary talents brought to bear by Executive Chef Stern, the dining experience of his new masterpiece will also provide guests with the ultimate visual tour-de-force of the most glorious sights in the region.
Chef Stern has received much acclaim for his creative and innovative interpretations of American cuisine at his Philadelphia restaurants Gayle and Rae. Stern, whose cooking has been lauded in national publications including Bon Appetit, Esquire, Wine Spectator and Food & Wine, will continue his tradition of blending bold cuisine with dynamic spaces when he opens up in Two Liberty Place.
“To me a fantastic dining experience is equal parts food, service and ambiance,” Chef Stern says. “I am incredibly excited to be able to offer my cuisine against a backdrop of 360 degree stunning views of the city of Brotherly Love.”
The restaurant will share the 37th floor with The Residences’ 10,000 square-foot Owner’s Club. The elegant club already boasts a comprehensive range of amenities for resort style living in the clouds, and the placement of this new signature culinary attraction within The Residences at Two Liberty Place represents the final piece in what is already regarded as Philadelphia’s ultimate residential lifestyle. Owners and their guests won’t even have to step outside to access five-star dining from one of the country’s outstanding chefs. And in keeping with the world-class pampering owners at The Residences have come to take for granted, “access” here refers not just to proximate convenience, but rather perennial preferred seating, as well as catered gourmet room service.
“Owners of the most majestic and highest residences in the city’s history now have the most majestic and highest restaurant in the city’s history at their beck and call,” says Albo J. Antenucci, Jr., managing partner and executive vice president of the Falcone Group. The Residences at Two Liberty Place, whose homeowner list reads like a veritable “who’s who” of movers and shakers in the Philadelphia community, has consistently broken longstanding Philadelphia records and benchmarks. “We are thrilled to add the utmost sophisticated fine dining and service to our exceptional property,” says Antenucci. “The restaurant is our way of showcasing Two Liberty Place’s world-class lifestyle to the greater community.”
Two Liberty Place (along with its sibling, One Liberty Place) is the signature landmark of Philadelphia’s skyline. The top 20 floors of this iconic tower, designed by world-renowned architect Helmut Jahn and redeveloped by the Falcone Group, consists of 90 spacious luxury residences that begin on the 40th floor and soar to the penthouse on the 57th floor. As the tallest residential building in Philadelphia, the lowest floors are higher than any other penthouse condominium in the city. Appointed with the highest level of materials, finishes and features, these “Mansions in the Sky” range in size from 1,150 to 15,000 square-feet. However, what most distinguishes The Residences at Two Liberty Place is the introduction to Philadelphia of a true “white glove” personal concierge staff, normally reserved to the upper echelon of the hospitality industry. The first residents began moving into Two Liberty Place in March 2008, and full occupancy is expected in 2009.
