If you missed this month’s PNC Mortgage webinar, New Year, New Opportunities—Power Prospecting Strategies for 2016, hosted by technology strategist, Crystal Washington, here’s a few of the key highlights you don’t want to miss.
Many real estate professionals are subject to a never-ending cycle of strong business periods when their only focus is servicing clients and then unbearably slow times facing a tauntingly silent phone. Social media provides real estate professionals with valuable tools for referral generation and keeping a constantly full sales funnel. In the webinar, “New Year, New Opportunities—Power Prospecting Strategies for 2016,” we discussed innovative ways to use hidden Facebook®, Twitter® and Google™ features to attract prospects.
Facebook® is the largest social network with over one billion active users daily. This network appeals to the largest age range, making it ideal for connecting with clients across generations. Real estate professionals can use personal profiles to build friendships with current and future clients and/or leverage a company page in order to gain user insights and promote posts to be seen by larger targeted audiences.
Best practices for setting up a personal profile include having compelling professional images as profile photos and headers, filling out the About section completely, and tweaking security settings to be seen by a larger audience. For business pages, agents must not only leverage strong images and include business contact information, but they must also focus on post engagement strategies to inspire referrals and new interactions. Additionally they should leverage the promoted posts feature to get compelling content out in front of a wider audience.
Twitter® is the ultimate efficiency tool for business real estate pros. Twitter® can be used to:
• track industry news
• follow area information
• observe clients
• increase positive public relations
Using the lists feature cuts down on feed overwhelm and allows professionals to group clients, experts, news sources and more in order to focus on specific topics. Twitter® brings news and client information directly to you!
Google™ Wildcard Search allows real estate professionals to find most prospects’ email addresses online. This is especially helpful in connecting with those who engage on social media, but whose contact information is not easily obtained via their profiles. Google™ Filetype Search is a simple way to find many professional organizations’ membership rosters and members’ contact information. For better connections, plug contacts found through filetype search into Facebook® and LinkedIn® to see if you have a common connection who can introduce you!
Real estate professionals who want a consistent stream of business cannot afford to ignore social networks where over 70% of their prospects are active.
