RISMEDIA, August 20, 2010—NRT LLC, one of the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage companies, has announced the promotion of Kate Rossi to regional executive vice president for the company’s Southeast region. Rossi, who previously served as president of NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage company in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y., will now oversee nine distinct markets throughout Florida, Georgia and Texas, comprising more than 100 brokerage offices and 6,300 sales associates, all working under the Coldwell Banker banner.

A seasoned leader whose real estate career spans more than 25 years, Rossi also served as president of NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage companies in Long Island, N.Y., and Colorado and as regional vice president for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pa., the company reported.

“Kate’s dynamic leadership style and deep knowledge of the Coldwell Banker brand have served her well in numerous executive posts with the company as she has consistently led each local operating company to new heights,” said Bruce Zipf, president and chief executive officer of NRT LLC. “I am confident that those qualities will continue to bring her success in her new, expanded role in the Southeast,” he continued.

In conjunction, Cathleen Smith was appointed as president for NRT’s Connecticut/Westchester County, N.Y. company, which is comprised of 44 offices and 2,100 sales associates. Smith previously served as senior regional vice president for NRT’s Coldwell Banker operations in Tampa, Fla., for the last seven years. Prior to that, Smith distinguished herself as a regional manager for six leading offices in the state.

“Cathleen’s extensive industry experience combined with her enthusiasm and professionalism have been a winning combination for many years and I am certain they will be invaluable assets as she enters her new leadership role in Connecticut and Westchester County,” said Zipf.
