Greg Rand

Greg Rand’s story is about homecoming. After jumping into the mortgage business fresh out of college, Rand said he then “had a ball” during his tenure at his family-run independent brokerage, but eventually left the industry in 2010 to pursue a career in institutional investment. “Then the phone rang in 2021,” he says, “and it was Coldwell Banker, calling me back to the industry I really missed.”

Overseeing an entire timezone, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Austin, Texas, Rand slipped right back into a world where he has excelled, doing something he truly loves.

He says his greatest accomplishment this past year was the vote of confidence that came from being approached by Coldwell Banker for the opportunity to return, which has afforded him what he calls “a pretty well-rounded career” after starting from the bottom.

“Real estate agents operate without a net, except for us. We are the net,” says Rand.
