Hagan Stone served as the 2019 chair of the Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) Committee for the National Association of REALTORS®. The goal of the C2EX program is to increase professionalism across the real estate industry by giving members a voluntary pathway to reach the highest level of professionalism in 10 key areas.
C2EX was designed for REALTORS® at any skill level. Members take assessments, and the program creates a personalized learning path based on the knowledge REALTORS® already have and areas in need of growth and improvement. Over 19,000 members have signed up for the program at press time.
Professionalism means thinking about end users and making sure each transaction goes smoothly by focusing on trust and integrity, client service and professional reputation. The program emphasizes that agents should provide clients with copies of all documents and go over the contract with them, communicate with clients regularly in the way each client prefers, maintain a positive reputation in their communities, and be careful about what they post online. For his part, Stone emphasizes the importance of being respectful to colleagues in the business, since everyone is working toward the same goal for their clients.
Stone is a REALTOR® at Parks in Tennessee and 2019 president-elect of Tennessee REALTORS®. He previously served as national chair of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). In that role, Stone traveled across the U.S. and inspired thousands to give to RPAC and to be involved in influencing policy.
