Hannah Angert, REALTOR® with Space & Company Real Estate Collection, made headlines in 2018 for a selfless act of kindness in the real estate community. Shannon Rowell, a single, working mother of four, nicknamed Mz. Fierce by Angert, had lost nearly all of her personal belongings and experienced a difficult homeownership journey that left her temporarily homeless and in need of funds and furniture after finally saving up for a down payment over three years.
Essentially a stranger, Rowell was the buyer on a transaction for which Angert was representing the seller. After learning of Rowell’s challenges, this generous REALTOR® decided to go online and throw her a virtual housewarming party in an effort to gather donations and essential home items. Angert’s own brokerage even donated a dining table set. Rowell also received a flurry of help in the form of monetary assistance, kids’ beds, couches, coffee tables, shower curtains, silverware, and more.
“When I saw the paperwork, I knew she was IN for the homeowner fight,” Angert wrote on Facebook. “Fast forward and I learned yesterday that during this month leading to closing, Mz. Fierce was her car and saving toward … an empty house. So, today I come to my community to ask for a little boost for Mz. Fierce, who I respect so deeply.”
