When he’s not helping clients buy or sell property, Jeffrey Goodman, a licensed agent at Halstead Manhattan LLC and a fourth-generation New Yorker, uses his media background to showcase the state he loves and to occasionally explore other topics about which he is passionate, such as civil rights.  

In 2019, Goodman built on the success of his award-winning walking tour series, “Rediscovering New York,” by launching a live radio show and podcast of the same name. The weekly show is broadcast live on www.talkradio.nyc and available on iTunes and other podcast services. Like Goodman’s tour series, the show is mostly about New York and its amazing neighborhoods: their history, their vibe and what makes them special. The show has grown to almost 5,000 unique monthly listeners and thousands of downloads.

Before entering the world of residential real estate in 2007, Goodman spent decades working in the advertising and media industries, including the LGBT media market between 1986 and 1995. Last year, he used his “Rediscovering New York” show to help commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

In the lead-up to his three-part Stonewall special, Goodman told Broadway World, “LGBTQ rights have always been extremely important to me, and I look forward to discussing topics critical to the movement with my influential guests, while at the same time integrating the history of some New York neighborhoods where LGBTQ people have lived, and thrived, for more than 50 years, even before Stonewall.”
