RISMEDIA, Nov. 6, 2008-Roost, Inc., a comprehensive search engine for finding your dream home, announced the appointment of Felicity Carr as the company’s new director of business development. Reporting to Roost Vice President of Business Development Matt Cullen, Carr will leverage a decade of experience in sales, business development and strategic alliances to extend Roost’s partnerships with brokers nationwide as the company expands its reach across additional real estate markets.

Most recently, Carr served as director of sponsorship and live events for FremantleMedia Licensing North America, where she was responsible for forging sponsorship and other third-party partnerships for shows such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Price Is Right. Prior, she performed similar duties for FremantleMedia in her native Australia, negotiating key partnership agreements with companies including Coca-Cola, Disney, L’Oreal, Mazda, McDonald’s, Nestlé and Unilever. A savvy negotiator, Carr also has served as an M&A attorney for Australia’s pre-eminent law firm, Mallesons Stephan Jaques. Carr holds a law degree from the University of Sydney, Australia.

“Felicity brings to Roost a wealth of experience in forging partnerships with some of the most recognizable brands in the world,” said Alex Chang, CEO, Roost. “Her understanding and strong business skills will serve our company well as it continues to grow and expand its partnerships with Realtors and MLS boards across the country.”

Said Carr: “Roost clearly approaches online real estate listings in a unique and compelling manner – partnering with individual MLS sites within a community to ensure that Roost users are looking at the very same information that Realtors access. I am excited to be part of the effort that takes Roost to the next level, serving even more regions across the country and cementing Roost’s role as the go-to site to look for your new home.”
