Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of one of the world’s largest residential real estate sales organizations, along with its parent company, Realogy Corporation, recently hosted a delegation from China comprised of central real estate government officials and executives from the CENTURY 21 master franchisee in China on a fact-finding tour in the United States.

On August 9, the 18-person delegation, led by Shen JianZhong, head of the Market Supervision Division, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Department of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), and Wang Ce, vice director of the Market Supervision Division, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Department of PRC, visited the CENTURY 21® headquarters in Parsippany.

Donald Zhang, Chairman of CENTURY 21 China who traveled with the delegation, had asked Century 21 Real Estate LLC to serve as host during the group’s stateside visit. Richard A. Smith, president and CEO of Realogy, welcomed the Chinese government housing delegation, and Rick Davidson, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC, moderated the day’s discussions which covered a host of real estate topics, including:

• Current U.S. housing market trends
• U.S. government policies addressing challenges in the market
• The real estate bubble and its impact
• Real estate information system management and operation, including MLS
• Client privacy protection
• An overview from the National Association of REALTORS® related to global business development

“We were thrilled when Donald Zhang asked us to host this Chinese government delegation during its visit to the United States,” says Davidson. “It was an honor for us to share some of our CENTURY 21 System practices for success and host this international exchange of housing market trends and insights with Mr. Shen and his delegation.”

Since 2000, the CENTURY 21 brand has been represented in China, which is now the fastest growing international region within the CENTURY 21 System.

CENTURY 21 China is comprised of more than 21,000 sales professionals with over 1,500 offices serving consumers throughout 32 of the nation’s cities.

Also in attendance were executives from other Realogy business units, including Cartus, a global provider of relocation and workforce development solutions, and Title Resource Group, a provider of title and settlement services in the U.S., along with global business representatives from the National Association of REALTORS® and the State of New Jersey Business Action Center.
