Yardi has announced recently that property owner and manager Dart Properties II LLC has selected Yardi Voyager™ as the new property management and accounting platform for its residential portfolio.
According to the company, Dart Properties’ previous Windows®-based platform was rapidly becoming antiquated and incapable of accommodating new products for online marketing and resident services, automated invoice processing and other business operations. “We often had to create software applications to augment the inefficiencies of our property management software. This duplicated our efforts,” said Bill Schneider, systems administrator for Dart Properties. The company conducted a year-long search for a new solution that concluded with its selection of Yardi Voyager.
“Yardi’s engineering philosophy of ensuring that all Yardi applications perform to a strict rule set, as well as the company’s database management expertise, provided the tipping point for our decision,” Schneider says.
The company announced that Dart Properties also adopted three other products as part of Yardi Voyager:
• Yardi Portal™, whose link with Voyager will allow real-time online marketing of properties and available units, online leasing, and numerous online self-service options for residents including rent payments, lease renewals and work requests. “
• Yardi Payment Processing™, which lets residents pay rent online through Yardi Portal, maximizing Dart Properties’ cash flow and reducing trips to the bank with same-day electronic fund transfers.
• Yardi PAYscan™, which reduces costs, labor and errors associated with invoice processing by scanning invoices into electronic transactions and automating workflow through the approval process.
Yardi Cloud Services™ will provide hosting services to Dart Properties. With Yardi Cloud Services, Yardi serves and maintains the Voyager application and database for Dart Properties from its data center. By providing this service, Yardi assumes responsibility for all application updates, network security, hardware, bandwidth and infrastructure, allowing Dart Properties to focus on its principal business.
