ERA Real Estate International Affiliates Mark Milestones

Home News National
February 23, 2012
Reading Time: 2 mins read

ERA Real Estate, a leading global real estate franchisor, recently recognized three international affiliates on the occasion of their service anniversaries with the brand.

“ERA Singapore, ERA Indonesia and ERA Thailand are important members of the ERA Real Estate network, not only because of their size and scope but because of their deep belief that the brand’s value proposition is integral to success,” says Charlie Young, president and CEO of ERA Real Estate. “As the first U.S. real estate franchisor to expand internationally when ERA Japan opened for business in 1981, ERA Real Estate is deeply proud of our impressive presence in Asia, thanks to the longstanding commitment to service excellence of ERA Singapore, ERA Indonesia and ERA Thailand.”

ERA Singapore, established in 1982, was an early member of the ERA Real Estate global network. Harry Chua, the company’s chairman and CEO, aimed to make the ERA® name synonymous with real estate. Today, ERA Singapore commands significant market presence with a unique business model: the firm’s more than 4,000 sales associates serving the 646-square-mile-island operate from one “mega-office” in Toa Payoh.

ERA Indonesia, which celebrates its 20th anniversary with ERA Real Estate this month, is comprised of 90 offices and nearly 3,000 sales associates. Based in Jakarta, the firm’s service area includes more than 20 other major cities including Balikpapan, Bandung, Banjarmasin, Batam, Cibubur, Cirebon, Denpasar, Manado, Malang, Pontianak, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Makassar, Palembang, Samarinda, Tangerang, Tarakan, Tegal and Yogyakarta.

Over the last two years, the company has focused on expanding throughout Indonesia, which consists of more than 13,000 islands.

Based in Bangkok with 15 offices and 100 agents, ERA Thailand also is celebrating 20 years as an ERA company. Established at a time when the real estate industry was not formalized, ERA Thailand has earned the trust with consumers over the last two decades by leveraging ERA training programs and offering sales associates its own ERA Real Estate license to assure clients they are receiving professional service.
