You’re an MVP with NAR

In March, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® announced a new program called Member Value Plus, or MVP. Similar to the highly successful “Right Tools, Right Now” initiative, which ran in 2009 and 2010, the MVP Program brings NAR members valuable programs and services for free or reduced cost to support them and their business. But through this new program, NAR members will have the opportunity to earn them as a reward.

Introducing Member Value Plus

The Member Value Plus Program is an association-wide rewards program that incentivizes NAR members to take action with their association. Plus, members get rewarded for their participation. This program has the full support of the NAR Leadership Team and will be one of NAR’s highest priorities in 2012 and beyond. MVP is a permanent initiative that presents a new way of offering value to NAR members. The new program will also increase engagement with its members, while at the same time, remind them of valuable NAR offerings, programs and services.

Ongoing Actions, Plus Rewards

On April 2, the first MVP offer was made available to NAR members. Every two weeks, NAR will release a new, specific action to be completed along with a specific reward. If members complete the action, they will have one month to redeem the specified reward they have earned.

Actions are easy to complete and will be from all areas of NAR. Examples of actions include completing required Code of Ethics training, answering a Call to Action or customizing your my.REALTOR.org site, to name a few. Rewards will include free e-products, in addition to free, reduced or at-cost publications and product bundles. Additional rewards will be offered as the MVP Program continues.

NAR will promote and communicate this program to brokers and agents through all NAR communication channels, including the NAR Weekly Report and my.REALTOR.org. Members can also subscribe to the MVP RSS feed which will send them a short reminder every two weeks when new actions and rewards are announced. Or sign up for the dedicated MVP Program email. Simply click “Subscribe to Offers” on the MVP landing page—www.REALTOR.org/MVP. The RSS will also feed a widget, which brokers can post to their website so they and their agents can easily take action on MVP offers.

As an added bonus, participating NAR members will be able to track their usage of MVP actions and rewards online. You and your agents can see the actions you’ve taken and the value of the rewards earned and redeemed via a dedicated “My MVP Program” page on REALTOR.org. This page is accessible under “My Accounts.” You will need your REALTOR.org name and password to access your accounts.

The MVP Program will expand to include brokers with specific actions and rewards by the third quarter of 2012.
