NAR Continues to Raise Education Bar

Home News
December 1, 2013
Reading Time: 3 mins read

While extra attention is given to education during November, REALTOR® Designation Awareness Month, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) continues to shine the spotlight on specialized knowledge. Drawing upon its 100-year history, one million-plus member base, and the largest real estate library in the world, NAR offers brokers and their agents a variety of learning opportunities that meet marketplace demands and keep their real estate businesses thriving.

Constantly refining its education offerings to provide REALTORS® with the most beneficial, up-to-date opportunities to learn via their preferred method, NAR rewards members with more than 400 hours of specialized courses addressing a broad range of real estate fundamentals and industry topics, a Masters degree program, and more than 24 designation and certification programs.

Specialized Online Courses through REALTOR® University
Recognizing the variation between markets and personal interests, REALTOR® University’s School of Professional Development & Continuing Education offers more than 400 hours of specialized online courses. Since they are offered online, brokers and their agents can complete courses at their own pace, on their own time. And now, many of the courses offered are approved by state licensing boards for continuing education credit.

The Master of Real Estate—Not the Traditional MBA
Unlike a traditional MBA program, REALTOR® University’s online Master of Real Estate graduate degree is balanced with a mix of business and real estate core courses, and five concentrations ranging from Asset & Property Management to Real Estate Sales, Marketing and Management. Offering scholarship opportunities and maximum flexibility for the working-adult professional, the 36 credit-hour, 12-course advanced degree program is offered in eight-week sessions, six times annually.

In addition, REALTOR® University offers extensive online resources, including videos, webinars and a professional coaching center to help REALTORS® offer more to their clients and better their business. The end result is you and your agents will walk away with practical and applied skills catered specifically to the needs of real estate professionals.
