Ron Brownell is a veteran real estate agent who has been with Real Living Lifestyles brokerage for the past 10 years. Brownell is the Assistant Head Broker and Director of Compliance at the brokerage, and his knowledge and experience is a huge asset to the agents there.
Brownell was recently appointed to the San Diego County Assessment Appeals Board by the County Board of Supervisors. The position will last through 2017. “I really appreciate Supervisor Dave Roberts nominating me and the Board of Supervisors approving my position on the Assessment Appeals Board. I am very proud to serve the citizens of San Diego County,” Brownell says.
Brownell has been in the real estate industry since 1989 and has run the gamut of real estate titles including top producing agent, Branch Manager and Broker of Record for a number of real estate companies.
Serving on the Assessment Appeals Board will give him the opportunity to help, educate and inform Real Living’s agents on how the real estate market trends are fluctuating and affecting the business. Brownell commented that his place on the board will allow him to gain another perspective of the real estate market in San Diego County, which will increase his knowledge and understanding of the area. It will also provide him with a better understanding of property tax evaluations and how property owners can address issues they feel are unfair. Real Living Lifestyles agents will benefit greatly from having someone with this expertise on their team locally.
Brownell is excitedly anticipating this new opportunity that he believes will open a whole new area of local knowledge. While aware of the challenging amount of reading and studying that will be expected of him, he is eager to get started weighing facts and issues brought before the board.
