Ways to Decorate With Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year

Annually, Pantone chooses a color to represent the style and mood for the year. If keeping up with the trends and creating a well-curated space is a challenge for you, Pantone’s 2022 color can serve as a launchpad to explore unique decor choices outside of your comfort zone. Very Peri, Pantone’s new color created specifically for 2022, has a lot to offer in your home this year. These decor ideas will help inspire you all year long as you incorporate this beautiful Periwinkle color into your everyday decor.

Embrace the 90’s Sitcom Style
Take a page from your favorite 90’s sitcom and go for a bold look by using this color on your wall or front door. Paint your front door, Very Peri, to be instantly transported to a modern-day version of Monica’s apartment from Friends. This color’s added whimsy can be a bold choice for a wall or front door. Use it only as an accent color, and anchor it by pairing it with creamy greys and warm neutrals

Go for Gold
Gold and bronze are still hot accent colors this year, and they truly shine when paired with an engaging color such as Very Peri. Go for gold (or bronze) when you are choosing fixtures that will be in a room with your Very Peri decor. The rich and warm hues can add depth and sophistication to the look, ensuring it stays upbeat without feeling childish.

Opt for Monotone
Charcoal and dramatic black hues have been a decor staple over the last few years—seemingly catching their stride in direct contrast to stark white minimalism. This year, take a page from both books by opting for a grayscale color pallet. Get an expert to help you choose various shades of greys and blacks with minimal purple undertones. Adding pops of Very Peri and a rich purple as accents can add a touch of warmth and drama to the monochromatic space.

Electrify Your Space
A bold and sunshine-yellow paired next to Very Peri can create a vibrant and electrifying combination. This high-energy color combo is perfect for a recreation room or a children’s bedroom. Use either color as the main hue and the other as the accent color, you’re sure to create an inspiring and playful space perfect for fun and imagination.
