Decorating for the holidays can be so fun, but it can also be a lot of work and stress. For Halloween and Thanksgiving there are some excellent fall options that will allow you to decorate once and make minor alterations to keep them up throughout the season. These outdoor decorating ideas for Halloween to Thanksgiving are perfect for anyone who’s on a time crunch but wants to keep their yard festive for the fall season.

Pumpkins and Gords
Pumpkins are the perfect fall decoration from Halloween to thanksgiving, they are a Decor option that keeps on giving. Whether you use real uncarved pumpkins and set them in the crisp weather or you opt for a styrofoam or Pho pumpkin option, there’s no doubt that pumpkins and gourds are the perfect Harvest decoration and are ideal for making Halloween a lot of fun. put out a bunch of pumpkins and don’t worry about bringing them down until after it’s time to decorate for the winter holiday season.

Corn Stalks and Hay Bales
Another quintessential fall option, corn stalks and hay bills are ideal for your Harvest parties, Halloween parties and Thanksgiving holiday. popcorn stocks on either side of your door or hang them along your fence or against a tree for a rustic and fun Decor option. Add hay bales around your yard for extra seating or simply for decoration. At Halloween use the hay bales to set skeletons or spooky jack-o-lanterns onto, and for Thanksgiving just arrange with a beautiful variety of fall flowers and pumpkins to create a fall scene.

Lanterns or String Lights
String lights and lanterns are great for any season when you’re outdoors during the evenings, but they add a particular warmth and sense of welcoming during the early fall nights. For added fun, opt for lanterns or lights that are LED which can be remotely changed. Use colors of orange and purple for halloween, and for thanksgiving a warm white or a soft gold can create a cozy harvest ambiance.

Scarecrows and Mums
Set up scarecrows in the yard or next to your front door. Halloween scarecrows can be friendly or have spooky accessories, after Halloween a friendly scarecrow is perfect to celebrate the harvest season and decorate for Thanksgiving. Fall flowers like mums are perfect additions to the look, and can be put out all season long, from before Halloween and even into early winter.
