Kaup Promoted to VP of Operations at SKY Sotheby’s

RISMEDIA, Feb. 26, 2007-To strengthen the company's leadership position in the market, luxury real estate brokerage firm SKY Sotheby's International Realty announced that Elaine J. Kaup been promoted from Operations Director to Vice President of Operations, Technology and Human Resources.

Kaup has been working with SKY Sotheby's International Realty since July 2006 and possesses 30 years of successful experience in operations management, finance, customer service, marketing, sales and real estate. In her new position, Kaup is responsible for ensuring that all business operations, processes and supporting infrastructure are efficient, effective and focused on achieving business goals. One of her primary responsibilities includes advancing and implementing new technology to support the firm's leading agents in their effort to provide continued platinum-level customer service. Additionally, Kaup will lead the company's human resources department and manage the firm's external suppliers to ensure the quality and value of its services in the marketplace.

SKY Sotheby's International Realty CEO Brandyn Herbold and President Chad Roffers will maintain their leadership roles with the company as they continue to expand into new and existing markets in Minnesota and locally, such as Lakewood Ranch. While capitalizing on their growing company footprint, Herbold and Roffers will continue to develop innovative results-oriented marketing and sales programs that help buyers and sellers of luxury real estate.

Since joining the firm, Kaup has been instrumental in streamlining and restructuring the operations of the firm. Leveraging her human resources background, she made an immediate contribution by introducing hiring process standards, creating job descriptions and performance evaluations, developing salary programs and structuring compensation plans.

Previously, Kaup was with AT&T for 25 years serving as Vice President of departments such as Consumer Information Services, Database Marketing/ Financial Management Systems, Corporate Productivity, and Customer Sales and Service. She was also the Operations Vice President of AT&T's Prepaid Services. While working for AT&T, Kaup managed dedicated business services on every continent and traveled extensively to Asia, Europe, Canada and Mexico. Domestically, Kaup lived and worked in some of America's biggest markets like New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Cincinnati.

In addition to her experience at AT&T, Kaup was the Business Center Manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota for three years in which time she focused her efforts on a wide variety of revenue generation, expense reduction and profit improvement projects. During her time there, Kaup received numerous First Class Recognition Awards as well as The Ritz-Carlton's prestigious Five Star Award, an honor achieved by those associates who serve as role models recognized for their commitment to excellence and uncompromising levels of personal service. Kaup also served as an adjunct professor for the Graduate Business School at Webster University (Sarasota).

Kaup has been a licensed Realtor since 2004 and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University, her MBA in Marketing from Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH) and Master's degree in Management (Sloan Fellow) from Stanford University.
