Gather Materials
Stock up on supplies to ensure a successful evening. You’ll need canvases, paint brushes, acrylic paint and a palette (a simple paper plate will do just fine). Lay down tarps or newspapers to avoid unnecessary messes.
Choose Your Muse
Simply find an image you’d like to base your paintings off of and project it onto your TV. Nature scenes, landscapes and flowers tend to work well for this. You can also choose something that is more seasonal. Just be sure the subject is appropriate for the skill level of your guests. If you want to offer more creative freedom, choose a theme and let your guests pick their own subjects based off of it!
Select a Drink Menu for the Evening
Decide what type of drinks you’ll be serving your guests. It’s always helpful to have a variety to feed different tastes. Have a bottle of wine or two on hand. You can also choose a themed cocktail to mix for the evening.
Fill Your Canvas
Set up the canvases around the projected image. Serve some cocktails, swipe your brushes and have fun! Once your creations are complete, use hair dryers or fans to help speed along the drying process. Sign your paintings and show them off to your friends and families!
