A Personalized Thank You

By Stephanie Andre

RISMEDIA, May 20, 2008-Ria Waugh loves everything about her membership in Lowe’s Program for Realtors®, a perk she receives through her participation in NAR’s REALTOR Benefits® Program. She likes the ability to customize a growing number of publications that she can send as follow-ups to her clients-“it’s just one more way for me to stay in touch,” says Waugh, an agent with Keller Williams’ Sandy Springs office in Atlanta.

But perhaps Waugh’s favorite benefit is her ability to buy Lowe’s gift cards at a 5% discount. “I love to give the Lowe’s gift cards as a closing gift,” says Waugh. “When somebody moves into a new home, even if the home is in great shape, you always have things you want to do. It might just be purchasing a new mirror, rug or even light bulbs, but if the gift card can help with that-especially when they’ve already spent so much just moving into the home-then I’ve done something to help with that cost and I’m happy about that.

“It’s something that they can use, which is very important,” continues Waugh. “While there are a lot of ideas out there for closing gifts, I want to give something that offers my clients some real value-Lowe’s gift cards do just that.”

But Waugh takes it a step further, using Cardways.com to customize the Lowe’s gift cards with her image and contact information. “They have a number of different ways to customize the cards,” she explains. “It’s just another way to keep my name in front of them-even after the transaction is complete.” (5% discount not included via Cardways).

Waugh is quite pleased with her options with the Lowe’s Program for Realtors. “I love that they understand how important marketing is,” Waugh says. “They continue to add great components to the program. Having the ability to pick and choose from different types of marketing materials keeps my marketing fresh and keeps me in front of my clients-at no additional cost.

“Our philosophy at Keller Williams Realty is ‘Win-Win’-and this program is just that.”
