Looking to the Future, Success

RISMEDIA, March 3, 2009-“As we move forward, and the Internet evolves into the 2.0 world, we are no longer providing information to the client. Instead, we are involving the client and collaborating with them,” says Greg Manship, CEO of Boise, Idaho’s Intermountain MLS. Having worked in the MLS industry since 1995, and joining Intermountain in 2004, Manship knows that flexibility, customization and collaboration within the MLS are the keys to the future.

Looking toward the future and focusing on client centricity and data sharing has given Manship the advantage of being able to set Intermountain MLS on a path toward this goal, and FNRES has been with them every step of the way.

“FNRES has created a great foundation of products, which have helped us better serve our agents and consumers,” says Manship. From being able to store information in a central location to sending multiple documents to all parties involved in a transaction, FNRES has made it easy to keep everyone involved.

Manship spent much of 2008 working to incorporate FNRES’ software into Intermountain MLS, and is now focusing on 2009 as the year in which he promotes these offerings to his members.

As the industry constantly changes, it is crucial to provide real estate professionals with the tools they need in order to interpret the data and make a quality presentation to the consumer.

“Offering my members products such as ParagonTM MLS, rDeskTM and DocCentralTM is my way of providing Realtors with the ability to take data and present it in a legible way so that the consumer and the client understand it,” says Manship.

According to Manship, FNRES’ ability to keep up with the trends in technology is one of the major benefits of working with the company.

“FNRES is on top of the latest technology trends and it knows where the technology is going,” explains Manship. “The company knows what the Realtor community needs to keep them ahead of the curve, set them apart and keep them viable in the real estate process.”

As for the future of Intermountain MLS, Manship sees the company continuing down the path of offering services to its members at a reasonable price.

“Our goal at Intermountain MLS is to look at what we can do to set the Realtor apart from competing business models,” says Manship. “We will continue to collaborate and provide tools that support collaboration between the Realtor and client. Syndication and data accuracy will help keep the Realtor industry alive and the MLS viable.”
