RISMEDIA, April 16, 2010—Christie’s Great Estates, one of the world’s leading luxury real estate networks, has awarded affiliate status to Neumann Real Estate for a total of six brokerages in the state of Connecticut. Neumann Real Estate will exclusively represent the Christie’s brand in the Northern Fairfield County communities of Connecticut including Ridgefield, Redding, New Fairfield, Brookfield, Danbury, Bethel, Sherman and Newtown. Wholly owned by Christie’s, one of the world’s leading art businesses, Christie’s Great Estates is represented in more than 40 countries. Invited to join the network already this year include affiliates in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and the United States of America. Neumann Real Estate joins this carefully selected organization of brokerages with proven records of success in both high-end property sales and exemplary client service.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Neumann Real Estate to the Christie’s Great Estates network,” says Kathleen Coumou, Christie’s Great Estates Vice President of the Northeast Region. “Neumann Real Estate and their experienced team has a long-standing solid reputation for conscientious client service, which exemplifies the Christie’s Great Estates standards of quality and integrity.”

“We are very excited about the affiliation with Christie’s Great Estates as it will combine our long established company brand name with the international marketing strength of this incomparable organization,” says Russ Neumann, Partner, Neumann Real Estate.

Situated in one of the highest-income counties in the United States, the northern part of Fairfield County is dotted with picturesque, colonial towns rich with history. Ridgefield—the largest town in the area—is regularly ranked by Connecticut Magazine as offering the highest quality of life in the state, as a result of its low crime rate, excellent schools and wide variety of services. Dating to 1708, the town’s Main Street historic district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is lined with architecturally significant homes, museums, churches and shops. Several of the towns in the surrounding area—Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield and Sherman—are located on the shores of Lake Candlewood, one of the most popular lakes in the state for boating, fishing, waterskiing and wakeboarding. The lake and its surrounding communities provide an idyllic weekend escape for many New Yorkers.
