RISMEDIA, May 17, 2010—As a broker, you’re busy focusing on the countless details of running a real estate business. It’s easy to lose sight that what you and your agents do is much more than just the details of an individual transaction. As important as those are, it is the commitment you made—by becoming a REALTOR®—to a higher standard for the real estate professional that sets you apart. This promise of professionalism, performance and integrity guides you and the impact you have on your agents, your clients and your community. With every interaction, you enrich someone’s life because of those commitments. In other words, you are “The Heart of the Market.”

Now we are giving you and your agents the chance to tell us, in your own words, why you love being a Realtor and how being an NAR member has made a difference to you, your clients and your community. For some, it may be the power of the Realtor brand and the trust and professionalism the name represents. For others, it may be working together with other members to promote and improve your community. Or perhaps it’s the wealth of resources that NAR provides to help bring in more clients. Whatever the reason, NAR wants to know, then share your story with clients and prospects as an example of your expertise and commitment.

Every REALTOR® Has a Story to Share
NAR invites you to go online to share your story and encourage your agents to do the same. It will build your community and can help you build your brand!

Here’s how:
-Visit www.TheHeartoftheMarket.com and click on the “Share Your Story” button.
-Log in and type in your personal story (approximately 100 words).
-When you are finished, click on “Share Now.”
-Finally, verify your mailing address so that NAR can send you an “I LOVE Being a REALTOR®” pin.

Visit the site often to share more stories! Each member is limited to two pins (while supplies last), but you can share as many stories as you’d like. The more you share, the more often you can send personal tales of professional dedication to clients and prospects and post them on your social media sites.

Spread the Word and Build Your Brand
Selected stories that explain why you love being a Realtor will post at The Heart of the Market Gallery within two to three business days. You’ll receive a link to view your story page that you can share by e-mail, post to your Facebook page or Twitter account. Help showcase your commitment and expertise and show others that you are “The Heart of the Market.”
