May is ?Coldwell Banker Open House Month’

RISMEDIA, April 25, 2007-To reinforce the importance of the spring home buying and selling season, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation has declared May as Coldwell Banker® Open House Month. With the participation of hundreds of Coldwell Banker affiliated companies nationwide, along with the support of a national advertising campaign, more than 100,000 Coldwell Banker open houses are expected to be held during the month.

As part of its Open House Month, Coldwell Banker will partner with Drexel Heritage to host an Open House Month sweepstakes throughout May. Consumers may log on to coldwellbanker.com to register for a chance to win. Four weekly winners each will receive $5,000 in Drexel Heritage furniture, while the grand-prize winner will receive $20,000 in Drexel Heritage furniture and a free consultation with an interior designer. "Open houses are a great way to increase exposure of a home for sale, and for buyers to get a good sense of what's on the market," said Charlie Young, senior vice president, marketing, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. "For newly listed homes and those that need a marketing boost, open houses can attract many potential buyers in a short amount of time. Locally, our affiliates market open houses through a variety of methods, including newspaper, television, radio and Internet advertising. This larger Coldwell Banker initiative, together with the sweepstakes with Drexel Heritage, provides those consumers who list their homes with us the opportunity to receive the added benefit of a major promotion raising further awareness for our local open houses."

Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation will support the promotion with a television commercial that will air throughout May on such popular shows as "Extreme Makeover Home Edition," "The Amazing Race" and "Medium." The company will also drive awareness of the event through a radio campaign and online banner advertising.

The Web site enables consumers to conduct a search for open houses in their area of interest. The site contains streaming video content providing consumers with tips on buying and selling homes and a host of other valuable tools including satellite mapping and a home value estimator.
