Interactive Floor Plans Engage Real Estate Buyers

RISMEDIA, Nov. 12, 2007-Icovia announced a release of the Icovia Space Planner Real Estate Edition, an online interactive floor planning product and pre-sales tool for the real estate market.

According to the company, Icovia Real Estate Edition allows real estate agents, brokers, property managers and real estate destination sites to convert existing Web site traffic into registered, profiled prospects. Icovia’s interactive floor plans and ease-of-use engages consumers with unique features like drag-and-drop furniture icons to help them to confirm the property meets their living needs. Users who want to save, print or e-mail their designs are prompted to register. Automated agent alert features provide real-time contact and activity information of the interested buyer.

A number of industry-leading real estate companies use Icovia including RE/Max Capital, Real Estate One, Advantage Homes and Halstead Property. Icovia is also a leader in the furniture, fitness, and consumer electronics industries with clients like Samsung, Nautilus, Ashley Furniture and Kohler.

“It’s more than just presenting property in a way that will appeal to the market. Prospective buyers need to see the property as their own,” said Steve Street, president of Icovia. “When they open a floor plan of a home and add their furniture to it, a sense of ownership develops. Once a person starts to test layout scenarios with their own possessions, the mindset changes from looking at someone else’s property, to envisioning it as their own.”
