Realogy’s Compliance & Ethics Officer Makes the NJBIZ ‘Forty Under 40’ List

RISMEDIA, July 16, 2009-Realogy Corporation, a global provider of real estate and relocation services, announces that the company’s corporate compliance and ethics officer, Elisabeth Gehringer, has been recognized by NJBIZ as a winner on its “Forty Under 40” annual list. This ranking honors young business professionals throughout New Jersey for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and to the community.

Gehringer, who also serves as general counsel for the Realogy Franchise Group, leads Realogy’s compliance and ethics program. She is credited with authoring its Code of Ethics policy and directing its launch to the Company’s employee base with a goal of creating a legal, respectful and ethical work environment. Gehringer is actively involved in developing and implementing appropriate legal and ethical standards for Realogy and its business units, and in promoting legal and ethical conduct in their business interactions with franchisees, affiliated real estate agents, vendors and customers.

“We have built Realogy on a foundation supported by strong ethics and integrity, and I believe we are a better organization because of it,” said Richard A. Smith, president and CEO for Realogy. “Liz Gehringer is highly dedicated to the pursuit of ethical practices across our businesses and this is a well deserved award.”

Earlier this year, Gehringer accepted a prestigious nomination to attend the FBI Citizens’ Academy and graduated in May. Her participation in this eight-week program further reinforced her belief that companies can have a positive impact on their communities by creating relationships and working well with law enforcement to prevent, address and resolve potential problems.

Gehringer is also a member of the Customer Advisory Board for SAI Global, a compliance and ethics training company, working to improve SAI’s product and service offerings. She is a member of the following councils: Compliance & Ethics Leadership Council, Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics, Ethics & Compliance Officer Association, New Jersey Association of Corporate Counsel, Georgetown University Alumni Association, and American Bar Association, and the bar associations in New Jersey, Morris County and Pennsylvania.

Winners of the NJBIZ “Forty Under 40” award will be honored during a reception on Sept. 10, 2009, and featured in a special supplement to NJBIZ on Sep. 14. Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges.
