RISMEDIA, July 6, 2011—CENTURY 21 New Millennium reported recently that in an ongoing effort to help generate awareness and funds to support Easter Seals Greater Washington – Baltimore Region, Director of Business Development Scott Becker raised more than $15,000 for the local charity by participating in the 2011 CENTURY 21® Climb for Kids.

Beginning on July 2, Becker joins Rick Davidson, president & CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC, as well as three other CENTURY 21 System members as they take off for an eight-day climb with the goal of ascending 30,000 feet on multiple peaks in the Alaska Range.

“The Climb for Kids campaign is a great way for me to pledge my support for Easter Seals and all of the services and resources they provide our community in an effort to empower people with disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives,” says Becker.

The CENTURY 21 System has been a proud supporter of Easter Seals for more than 30 years and has since raised more than $100 million to help provide opportunities for people with disabilities to live with equality, dignity and independence.

“We have been overwhelmed by the generous support from New Millennium’s friends and colleagues in the community and across the country,” says Todd Hetherington, CEO and co-broker/owner of CENTURY 21 New Millennium. “The Climb for Kids campaign has been a great way to engage families and social organizations in the area and beyond with Easter Seals Greater Washington–Baltimore Region and all of the services and resources they provide our community in an effort to empower people with disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives.”

During the eight-day climb, people can follow the Climb for Kids team’s progress on the CENTURY 21 Facebook page to check out live updates from the mountain. After the climb, CENTURY 21 Real Estate LLC and CENTURY 21 New Millennium will post online photos and video of the climbers’ trek to share and celebrate their accomplishment for Easter Seals.

“It is a great feeling to know that our contributions go directly toward helping people with disabilities in our community achieve greater independence,” said Mary Lynn Stone, President and co-broker/owner of CENTURY 21 New Millennium.
