Visual Appeal: Real Estate Website Wins Award for Design, Creativity

Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate recently announced that it has received a Silver W3 Award from the International Academy of the Visual Arts honoring the company’s website, bhgrealestate.com. The site received the commendation based on its creativity, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use.

“Our website serves a large audience including home buyers, sellers and owners, as well as our network of brokers and agents. We designed our site to enhance the home search experience for today’s informed consumer by including functional resources as well as specific neighborhood information, do-it-yourself home improvement guides and design tips,” said Sherry Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. “As a brand that seeks to provide a high level of customer service along with a holistic home buying and selling experience, both online and in person, we are honored by the recognition of our website.”

The Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate website is divided into four sections:
• Look – Know The Neighborhood: Provides housing information on trends, schools and communities in a prospective neighborhood
• Learn – Understand The Process: Explains the process of buying and selling, financing, making an offer, closing and moving
• Live – Make It Your Own: Offers remodeling and design tips as well as landscaping and green living suggestions
• Video – Watch and Learn: Gives visual support to accompany the many resources on the site

In 2011, bhgrealestate.com launched a new lifestyle search function, which enables prospective homebuyers to search for communities that have qualities most important to them including high-rated schools, access to mass transit, culture and more.
