Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices recently announced that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan Real Estate has acquired East Lansing-based Tomie Raines Inc., REALTORS®. The agreement gives Michigan Real Estate, Michigan’s third-largest real estate brokerage, entrance into the busy Lansing market with a company heralded for strong leadership, agents and reputation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tomie Raines Inc., REALTORS® to our brokerage family,” says Michigan Real Estate Broker/Owner Steve Fase. “The company is led by Brokers Debbie Barnett and Lane Barnett, two of Michigan’s finest real estate professionals. Their Tomie Raines brand is wonderfully established in greater Lansing with nearly 40 years of distinguished service in the market.”

Debbie Barnett and Lane Barnett will continue leading the company, which now operates as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Tomie Raines REALTORS®. The two are eager to grow the brokerage as part of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

“This is a proud day for our brokerage,” says Debbie Barnett. “Our strong, local company just joined a regional powerhouse brokerage family, and a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand known nationally for trust, integrity and service. This is a fantastic scenario for our agents and clients.”

Adds Lane Barnett: “We are the same great company with access to far more tools and resources, and an active referral network,” he explained. “The future looks incredibly bright for Tomie Raines REALTORS®.”

As part of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Tomie Raines REALTORS® agents gain access to the brand’s Global Network Platform – a suite of online tools, applications and services – plus professional education, national marketing support and the exclusive Luxury Collection program for high-end and resort listings. Resources include lead generation, a social media platform, a handy mobile app, a video-production app and more.

“Two fine teams have come together and Michigan real estate consumers will benefit,” says Gino Blefari, CEO of HSF Affiliates, which operates Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. “Congratulations to Steve Fase and Debbie and Lane Barnett, and a warm welcome to Tomie Raines REALTORS®.”
