Weichert, REALTORS® successfully raised $170,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fund breast cancer research during its 16th Annual Charity Golf Outing. Proceeds from the event bring the grand total that Weichert has raised for the ACS to more than $1 million since the annual fundraiser began in 2001.
Held annually at the picturesque Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J., this year more than 240 golfers and other participants enjoyed a buffet luncheon, three-hour cocktail reception/buffet, prizes and awards. Over 40 volunteers helped make this event a success. TV and radio personality Bill Spadea was the emcee for the evening event, which also included a silent auction.
Additionally, in the spirit of the occasion, special guest speaker and breast cancer survivor Danielle Ricci shared her story of survival with the numerous attendees and encouraged them to make generous contributions toward the cause so that others like her may successfully finish their fight with cancer.

Not only did we see dedicated involvement in gift giving, golfers and volunteers, but I am also incredibly proud of our sales offices and the hundreds of people who participated across multiple states to support the cause by holding their own unique events to raise additional funds toward our effort.”
Nearly 80 organizations supported the fundraiser through various forms of sponsorship.
