ERA Real Estate has honored ERA Doty Real Estate with its 2017 Circle of Light for Community Leadership Award, recognizing the brokerage’s corporate social responsibility efforts. The announcement was made at the recent 2018 ERA International Business Conference (IBC).

“As real estate professionals, we often find ourselves with our fingers on the pulse of our local communities,” says Sue Yannaccone, president and CEO of ERA Real Estate. “ERA Doty Real Estate has made an effort not just to listen, but also to act. Steve Doty and his team have applied their standard of client care to their community, and their commitment to giving back through donations of time and money is admirable.”

The Circle of Light for Community Leadership Award recognizes ERA companies who give time, raise funds and provide resources to worthy causes. Circle of Light award winners create a culture of civic service within their companies and establish themselves as a philanthropic leader in the areas they serve.

This past year alone, the ERA Doty Real Estate team conducted numerous community service projects across a wide range of service, including:

  • Fundraising events that allowed the local Salvation Army to double their facility capacity;
  • Sales of MudLOVE #ERAFamily bracelets that raised money to provide fresh water for a year for communities in need and training to repair broken wells in villages that have no water available;
  • Monthly meal delivery and a Sweetheart Party for the local senior center; and
  • A veterans’ brunch in which they partnered with a local public-school group to offer lunch and hospitality to nearly 100 local veterans.

ERA Doty Real Estate also raised more than $14,000 in 2017 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Summer Camp Challenge, for which they were recognized at IBC with a separate MDA Chairman’s Award.

“It was the highlight of my professional career to see my team recognized with this award,” says Doty. “I always say that culture is more important than volume, and it all came to realization with what we were able to accomplish last year. I’m truly proud of my team, and we plan on doing even more this year.”
