Realogy Announces Ascend Program’s First Graduating Class of Future Brokerage Leaders

Realogy_Ascend_GradsRealogy Holdings Corp. recently announced the first graduating class of Ascend: The Executive Leadership ExperienceSM. The AscendSM executive leadership program is available exclusively to Realogy brand-affiliated brokerage owners who are in the process of grooming a successor to lead their company into the future.

The program’s intense face-to-face and online learning experience prepared 41 inaugural participants to become successful future brokerage leaders by challenging them to significant growth in three core areas identified in the program’s mission statement:  Leading Self. Leading Others. Leading Organizations®.

The rigorous Ascend curriculum engages Realogy senior leadership, real estate industry experts and current successful franchisees from all Realogy brands as part of this world-class program. The 46-week experience consists of four, one-week interactive classroom semesters at Realogy’s headquarters interspersed with extended online learning modules and culminates with individual case study presentations.

“Succession planning and transition are the responsibilities of all great leaders who have worked hard to build their company and want to preserve its legacy for the future,” says Alex Perriello, president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group.  “I commend all graduates for completing a program that I believe is the single-most important educational experience of their career and one that has fully prepared them to lead their real estate brokerages to even greater heights in the future.”

The class of 41 future business leaders affiliated with Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, ERA®, and Sotheby’s International Realty® represented a diverse set of markets and company sizes from the United States and Canada.

Mike Good, Realogy’s executive champion of the Ascend program, says, “Knowing the real estate business is not enough to succeed. Leading a company takes different skills and acumen.  Ascend is focused on helping participants master the competencies needed to be the leader of a real estate brokerage organization in the future.”

Realogy announced the launch of the Ascend program in November 2014 for this first cohort of graduates. The second Ascend class of approximately 45 Realogy brand-affiliated franchisees will commence in March 2016.
