Gardner REALTORS® Named Family Owned Business of the Year

Gardner REALTORS® was recently honored as Family Owned Business of the Year by the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Gardner was recognized with this award for their impact on the Jefferson Parish business community.

Each year, the Jefferson Chamber highlights businesses of all sizes that dedicate themselves to entrepreneurship, perseverance and community service through its Business Leadership Awards. To recognize this year’s class of winners – ranging across several industries including healthcare, construction and real estate – a luncheon was held on Wednesday, May 11 at Hilton New Orleans Airport Hotel. Glenn “Chip” Gardner, Vice President of Operations and Special Initiatives, accepted the award on behalf of the family-owned company during the ceremony that celebrated its dedication and accomplishments.

“Choosing Gardner as this year’s Family Owned Business was a seamless decision,” says Tom Meyer, Jefferson Chamber Foundation Board Chairman and Awards Committee Chair. “With its long lineage, the entire Gardner staff throughout Jefferson Parish is truly one unified family, dedicated to ensuring our community continues to thrive.”

This distinction is one of several earned by Gardner, who is also consistently recognized as a Top Workplace by NOLA Media Group and The Times Picayune each year. Gardner is the only real estate company to walk away with this title for the past two years running. Employees of nominated businesses must first complete a comprehensive workplace satisfaction survey, and companies with the highest scores in three categories are honored. This year, Gardner was named as a Top 10 Small Company by NOLA Media Group.

President of Operations Glenn Gardner says, “Our real estate family is honored by the business and media organizations that have recognized our realtors’ work in the industry, as well as our work to end homelessness locally in conjunction with The New Orleans Mission.
