Craig McClelland is vice president and COO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers. In addition, McClelland is a board member for Homesnap, serves on the board of advisors at Dotloop and the Broker Public Portal board, and is an investor and advisor to several technology companies.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, McClelland hosted the Metro Challenge, a series of Zoom webinars, every day for 45 days. He used local market reviews and daily goal setting to keep agents connected, and brought in 31 industry leaders for discussions. Under his leadership, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers rolled out 3D tours and floor plans and virtual open houses. Agents outperformed the MLS by 20 percent.
“It’s important to consistently push for innovation, keeping the customer—the current or future homeowner—top of mind,” McClelland says. “As long as you concentrate on their experience, then the business will continue to grow.”
