Because of COVID-19 restrictions, virtual home inspections were sometimes the only option for homeowners who wanted to proceed with a sale in 2020. Under President and CEO Dan Steward’s leadership, Pillar to Post Home Inspectors offered virtual inspections prior to the pandemic, but the option became more popular last year.

The PTP360 Tour incorporates 360-degree images of an entire house into a home tour to create a virtual model that can be useful to buyers, sellers, agents and others. Steward says his team perfected the process and realized that it was a sustainable method for future home inspections when required or preferred.

“When you’re forced to evolve your systems and practices to survive challenging times, you learn that you CAN evolve when necessary, and sometimes more efficient methods come from this challenge,” says Steward.
