Keystone Photo Upload – 30 Photos Free of Charge – Now What Do I Do?

April 3, 2008, 2 pm
Reading Time: 2 mins read

By Diane Ives

MRIS, April 7, 2008–A picture is worth a thousand words. Consumers are demanding listings with photos. Internet listings with photos attract buyers. Listings with multiple photos are viewed more often. Do you know that you can upload photos immediately once you have submitted the listing and obtained an MLS Number?

Keystone Photo Upload (KPU) allows the listing agent to enter up to 30 photos per listing at no additional charge. MRIS recently announced a speed boost for KPU. In order to take advantage of this terrific boost in upload speed, Keystone Photo Upload now requires two programs to be downloaded on the computer that you are using to upload photos: Sun Java Runtime Engine (JRE) version 6, build 3 (sometimes referred to as version 1.6.03) or later and Adobe Flash Player version 9.0.47 or later.

Keystone Photo Upload allows you to display a custom sort order, custom caption, and description. The photos will display in Matrix, Active Agent, Lingo, and Bridge.
File formats accepted are .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .png, .tif and .tiff.

You can upload a file up to 6MB in size. However, please note that the larger the file you choose to upload, the more time will be spent waiting for the file to upload and waiting for Keystone to process the image. Are you aware that most digital cameras have a menu where you can select PC quality photos (resolution 1024 x 768)? This will allow for a faster upload and will not have any effect on how the photos are viewed on the Internet.

To obtain instructions for Keystone Photo Upload:

• Log on to www.mris.com, hover over Training, click “On-Line Training Library,” click “Keystone Photo Upload Tutorials,” and click “Adding Pictures Using Keystone Photo Upload.”

Or

• Hover over Training, click on Manuals, click on Keystone, and click “Keystone Reference Manual.” The KPU instructions are found in Chapter 3, on Pages 5 – 9.

Next week, I will share some camera tips that will help you get even more value from your photos.
