American Home Shield increases Available Options with FlexPlan

RISMEDIA, April 18, 2008-American Home Shield is providing homeowners personalized, comprehensive home warranty coverage to help alleviate some of the financial concerns associated with covered breakdowns of many of their home’s major systems and appliances.

Introduced and tested in Texas in early 2007, and now available nationwide, the company says that the fully customizable AHS Home Warranty FlexPlan is revolutionizing the home warranty industry:

FlexPlan offers coverage not previously available to home warranty customers, basic coverage includes items which malfunction due to insufficient maintenance, with options to address unknown preexisting conditions, mismatched systems and more.

FlexPlan is fully customizable – allowing customers the option to select the home warranty coverage that fits the specific needs of their homes.

AHS is a company exclusively devoted to protecting homeowners from many unexpected repair costs associated with covered breakdowns. The company says that it listens and responds to customer and client feedback. With simplified agreements and identical options in every market, the new Home Warranty FlexPlan allows homeowners to choose from a thorough list of coverage packages, effectively creating a warranty plan custom made for their homes.

“One of our biggest strengths as a company dealing exclusively in home warranty service is our ability to listen to our customers,” said Vice-President of Real-Estate Sales, Lelia Chapman. “We’re launching FlexPlan to give homeowners the option to select coverage for breakdowns associated with insufficient maintenance, improper installation and mismatched systems, as well as coverage for breakdowns associated with heating, air conditioning and plumbing items. The Home Warranty FlexPlan even offers coverage options for equipment removal, permits and code violations.”

In addition to unified, consistent agreements simplifying the warranty sales process, AHS hopes FlexPlan will provide listing agents assistance in reducing post-inspection downward negotiation and lower offers resulting from old systems. Selling agents will appreciate American Home Shield working with their client upon closing, providing risk management on their new investment from the first day of residence.

“We want to be a reliable partner to agents by handling problems some new homeowners encounter and providing marketing support that can help agents make the next sale,” Chapman added.

In addition to providing listing postcards, door hangers and other marketing supplements, American Home Shield expects FlexPlan to stimulate sales because of the comprehensive coverage and options previously unavailable.

“Our robust contractor network and negotiating power allow us to provide warranty service consistent in every market. Also, because we are a nationwide brand, the American Home Shield name helps new homeowners become comfortable and acclimated in their new homes,” said Chapman.
