David Deza spent 2025 redefining leadership at Brown Harris Stevens Miami by proving that professional growth and community service are inextricably linked. Since taking the helm of the Miami Beach, Coconut Grove and South Miami offices, Deza has implemented a transformative 90-day onboarding pathway and established the firm’s first unified training calendar and mentorship program. These initiatives, paired with his introduction of an in-office content studio and podcast program, led to a significant increase in agent headcount and retention within his first 90 days.
Deza’s leadership is deeply informed by his decade-long commitment as a volunteer wish granter for Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. By encouraging agents to connect their personal “why” with their professional goals, he has fostered a high-performance culture rooted in empathy and purpose.
“Leadership is about bringing people together,” Deza says. “When one company, one agent or one community thrives, the entire industry and marketplace benefits.”
His efforts in 2025 have streamlined operations through innovative communication systems while sparking a movement of grassroots, agent-driven community advocacy across South Florida.
