RISMEDIA, April 13, 2011—Point2 has announced that the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) in Ontario, Canada, has selected Point2 to power its multi-national property listing syndication initiative.
Key drivers behind the program are to 1) enable members to automate property listing postings on Canada’s most popular consumer real estate websites, 2) expand listing exposure to buyers nationwide, in the U.S. and several other countries, and, 3) maintain data accuracy, consistency and timeliness online.
The agreement with RAHB reinforces an expanding trend among Canadian REALTOR associations that supports controlled listing distribution online.
This helps brokers and agents with their online real estate marketing, increases listing exposure to buyers, maintains data integrity on the Web and introduces new and valuable services to members.
“The online real estate landscape is constantly growing, which makes it critical and challenging for our members to efficiently and cost effectively scale their marketing and real estate prospecting capabilities,” said Ross Godsoe, chief executive officer for RAHB. “A syndication strategy in collaboration with Point2 delivers squarely on these objectives and, importantly, helps us to maintain listing data integrity across its network.”
“Maintaining comprehensive exposure for a property listing today is demanding and can be error- prone, potentially exposing the listing broker or agent to legal issues,” said Saul Klein, senior vice president for Point2. “With our Point2 syndication service, RAHB expands its value proposition with its members at no added cost to its members.”
The program is expected to launch during the second quarter of 2011. All leads generated through the syndication effort will be directed to listing brokers and agents at no cost to them.
RAHB members who currently use the Point2 Agent online marketing and lead management solution will also benefit from automated listing data transfer from their Association’s system to their Point2 website, saving them even more time and effort.
