Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Announces National Philanthropic Partnership with Rebuilding Together

Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate announced this week at its international brand conference, Fusion, a national philanthropic partnership with Rebuilding Together. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is the exclusive residential real estate brand partner for Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit organization that provides critical repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficient upgrades to those unable to maintain their homes, including elderly, disabled and low-income homeowners. As part of the partnership, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate will engage its network of nearly 10,000 affiliated real estate professionals to help raise awareness of the Rebuilding Together organization and help to improve the communities in which they serve.

“In choosing a national philanthropic partner, we looked for a cultural and values-based alignment with a partner whose mission our network would strongly support—helping people live their best lives by empowering their dream of homeownership, which closely parallels the work we do in our communities every day,” said Sherry Chris, president and CEO, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC and a vice chairman on Rebuilding Together’s National Board of Directors. “Aligning with Rebuilding Together helps our franchisees demonstrate to the communities they serve that Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is focused on helping to make their lives and communities better.”

Members of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network can volunteer by sponsoring a build, hosting a fundraising event, donating on behalf of clients, or spreading awareness through marketing initiatives. All Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brokerages and network members are also encouraged to connect with the Rebuilding Together local affiliate chapters to explore opportunities within their surrounding communities. The brand has developed a marketing kit for affiliated Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brokerages to make these opportunities easy and fun. A dedicated Rebuilding Together donations page can be found at BHGRErebuildingtogether.com.

“We are pleased to partner with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate and excited that the brand shares our belief that everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home,” said Sandra Henriquez, chief operating officer of Rebuilding Together. “We look forward to engaging its network in homeowner education and volunteer opportunities as we continue to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need.”

As a community revitalization partner, Rebuilding Together repairs homes and revitalizes neighborhoods to uplift individuals, families and communities. With the help of everyday citizen volunteers, skilled tradespeople and the support of local businesses and corporate partners, Rebuilding Together affiliates enrich the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and communities.
