Gassett earned a B.S. in marketing and management from Northeastern University in Boston. He started at Prudential Real Estate in 1986 and was one of the company’s top agents in Massachusetts before moving to RE/MAX in 1996.

In 2018, Gassett was ranked the No. 1 RE/MAX agent in Massachusetts. He has been ranked as high as the No. 19 RE/MAX agent in the U.S. and has been one of the top RE/MAX agents in New England for the past 20 years. Gassett was elected to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and has received the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, he is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
