In 2025, Dan Troup led the relaunch of Broker Public Portal (BPP) on a modern AI-powered platform, offering consumers a search experience that combines natural language, image-based and property-centric search while connecting them directly with listing brokers. He secured Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) as the first MLS to launch on the new portal, proving the model and setting the stage for national adoption.
Troup built consensus among brokerages and MLSs to support a sovereign, industry-owned platform that preserves broker-to-consumer connections. He championed the development and positioning of Cribio.com as the consumer-facing brand of BPP and advanced the BrokerData product, uniting MLS and public record data into a seamless experience. Through national advocacy campaigns, he rallied broker support to drive adoption and elevate transparency, ensuring every inquiry reaches the listing broker.
“From the beginning, I’ve believed that brokers and agents should not have to compete against the very platforms that market their listings. That belief has guided me through every chapter of my work,” he says. “What we’ve built is not only protecting the industry, but delivering a search experience so good that it raises the bar for everyone.”
