CEO of the Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Doreen Spagnuolo spent 2025 in this leadership role advancing a member-first vision that championed collaboration, innovation, the responsibility of transparency and strong advocacy for property rights and legislation that supports them. As CEO of LIBOR—which underwent a headquarters relocation overseen by Spagnuolo in 2025—she introduced impactful initiatives designed to strengthen professionalism, protect consumers and ensure REALTORS® are equipped to succeed in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
Spagnuolo created a dedicated task force with OneKey MLS leadership to better serve large brokerages and improve integration of tools and resources, such as broker training aids focused on compliance, risk management and consistency, as well as a new Legal Support Center offering direct access to attorney guidance, and preparations for LIBOR’s headquarters relocation, which will feature in-house video production capabilities for member marketing.
In 2025, LIBOR secured $150,000 in funding from NAR and the New York State Association of Realtors® to support its first-ever independent expenditure campaign backing pro-housing candidates in a competitive local election. As an individual advocate and educator, Spagnuolo planned LIBOR’s largest-ever Education Summit, while launching the association’s Room to Think podcast and a new Master Class series.
“It is deeply fulfilling to make decisions that positively impact both our members and the people in the communities they serve—whether that’s empowering Realtors® through education and tools, helping first-time homebuyers access grants or guiding our organization through transformative change,” says Spagnuolo.
