Natalia Karayaneva is the founder and CEO of Propy Inc., a Silicon Valley proptech company that aims to revolutionize home purchasing via blockchain technology. In 2019, Propy was recognized as a leading real estate tech startup and garnered industry support.
Second Century Ventures, the real estate technology fund backed by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), made a strategic investment in Propy’s platform through its REACH Program. Propy was one of eight cutting-edge companies selected as part of NAR’s REACH Class of 2019, and it was also chosen as a finalist for NAR’s iOi Summit Pitch Battle, a competition for real estate startups.
As a real estate professional, Karayaneva was frustrated with how time-consuming and rife with fraud online real estate transactions were, so she created a blockchain-based solution that makes it possible to manage all parts of a real estate deal in one tool.
Karayaneva is an award-winning real estate developer, software engineer and serial entrepreneur with extensive knowledge in international real estate and crypto-economics. She’s a frequent panelist and speaker at blockchain and proptech events globally. She’s also an advisor to Arrington XRP Capital and a regular contributor to Forbes, writing about blockchain technology, the real estate industry and other topics. She has a degree in computer engineering from Russia, as well as a degree in sustainable urban development from the University of Oxford.
