Sarah Ellis has redefined market leadership in Athens, Georgia, by proving that a boutique, high-touch approach can outperform industry giants. In 2025, Corcoran Classic Living cemented its status as the market leader in Athens-Clarke County, achieving the highest sales volume in the region for the second consecutive year. Remarkably, Ellis’s team of just over 30 agents commands more than 15% market share, consistently outperforming firms triple their size on a per-agent basis. This year also marks the firm’s 20th anniversary, a milestone Ellis is celebrating through “20 Community Initiatives” that support local causes ranging from the Athens Diaper Bank to scholarships for college-bound young women.
A former educator and longtime member of the Athens Area Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors, Ellis focuses on a “culture-first” philosophy. She has transformed the brokerage into a supportive ecosystem where top-tier talent thrives through mentorship and professional ethics. As Ellis describes her approach has been to “assemble a group of agents who support each other, look out for each other, and appreciate each other’s success.”
“The culture in our office is non-competitive, and we believe that the success of the individual is dependent on the success of the whole,” she says. “Our focus has been to do small things great, keeping the best interests of our clients at the center of our decisions.”
Four industry leaders recently came together to discuss what it will take to succeed in the year ahead. The good news is, you don't have to look very far to get started. Read more.
