Victoria Gillespie

National Association of REALTORS®

As chief marketing and communications officer of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Victoria Gillespie leads the marketing, communications and events of the nation’s largest trade association. A cornerstone of her work was the creation and February 2019 launch of “That’s Who We R,” a national, multi-platform ad campaign that garnered more than 1.4 billion impressions in its first six months.

“We have to lean forward and embrace change,” says Gillespie. “We must be able to clearly articulate our value stream and demonstrate to consumers how we are different from technology disruptors. We must continue prioritizing education and professionalism in order to continue to differentiate ourselves. The more we help REALTORS® and brokers define their unique value proposition, the stronger our industry will be.”

As a successful REALTOR® for over a decade with more than 30 years of business experience, Gillespie combines professional expertise and real-world experience in her role at NAR. She has extensive experience in the financial services industry, including executive leadership with Northwest Federal Credit Union, and she earned an MBA from American University. Over her career, she has developed multiple award-winning campaigns, secured strategic partnerships to generate revenue growth and overseen large industry events.

Since her appointment at NAR in October 2018, Gillespie has engaged with thousands of members to discuss the value of the $5 billion REALTOR® brand, and her strategic leadership has delivered strong results in driving brand awareness to enhance NAR’s relationship with consumers.
