MarketLinx Launches New Real Estate Transaction Standard Client Application

RISMEDIA, June 13, 2007-MarketLinx Inc. announced the launch of RETS ConnectorTM, a new Real Estate?Transaction Standard (RETS) client application now available to all MLXchange 3.0 and TEMPO 5.0 customers free of charge.

A downloadable Windows? program, RETS Connector provides a simple and secure interface that makes it easy for authorized users to download a prescribed set of MLS data and images, according to the company. RETS Connector is ideal for MLS partners needing regular bulk-data downloads, brokers wanting easy access to Internet data exchange (IDX) information for their Web sites and other non-technical users. Users can schedule automatic downloads or retrieve information on demand.

“The response from end users has been very positive so far,” said Bryan Foreman, executive vice president of MarketLinx and president of Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Operations. “They are particularly happy with how easy the program is to use compared to other RETS applications they have tried.”

Together with MarketLinx’s standard RETS service and RETS ProfessionalTM-an optional product that includes user-level data analysis, IP address filtering, data and image tagging, quotas, throttling and a guaranteed service-level agreement-RETS Connector rounds out the industry’s most advanced and comprehensive suite of RETS management tools, according to the company.

“MarketLinx has been a driving force in the RETS standards process since the very beginning and has naturally assumed a leadership role in the development of new RETS-based technologies,” said Stephen Roney, president and chief executive officer of MarketLinx. “In combination with the company’s ongoing work in adaptive security, MarketLinx’s efforts in this field are helping to pioneer many exciting and new data aggregation, management and distribution capabilities that will hugely benefit MLS customers now and in the future.”
