Old Republic Home Protection Launches Enhanced Home Protection Plan in Tennessee

RISMEDIA, April 7, 2008- Gwen Gallagher, president of Old Republic Home Protection, announced that its expanded Standard Plan and cutting-edge Optional Coverage Choices will catapult the company to the “head of the class” in Tennessee, with home protection coverage that is second to none.

According to Gallagher, “By providing the most comprehensive coverage available at a price that is unmatched, Old Republic Home Protection makes it possible for more home sellers and buyers, and their real estate professionals, to ‘custom-fit’ the home warranty plan to each home’s specific needs. The enhanced plan and Optional Coverage Choices ‘fill in some gaps’ in coverage commonly found in home warranty plans, providing more coverage at a great value.”

Gallagher continued, “In today’s changing real estate market, home buyers expect more for their money, and having a home protection plan in place increases a home’s value. When the plan selected offers enhanced coverage, it’s a double win. The plan reduces the likelihood of major out-of-pocket expense due to a home system or appliance outage and results in fewer denied claims, thereby reducing risk to real estate professionals and their clients. Clients will be more satisfied with the broader coverage, and more likely to recommend the real estate professionals who offer this service to others. And the peace of mind that the extended coverage provides is priceless.”

Old Republic Home Protection Account Executives, Cameron Foster (serving Nashville, Clarksville, Manchester and surrounding areas), and Teri Sisson (serving Memphis, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Cookville/Crossville, and the Johnson City/Tri Cities area), began presenting the new plan to their respective real estate communities March 24, 2008.

According to the company, the Enhanced Standard Plan provides the basics of coverage for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and household appliances – and with fewer exclusions to coverage, resulting in fewer claim denials.

Optional Coverage Choices allow the home protection plan to be “custom fit” to each home’s needs. These new choices include coverage for Wet Bar Refrigerator, Built-in Wine Cooler, Freestanding Icemaker, and “outside the foundation” pipe leaks.

New Upgrade Options:

Silver Upgrade Option – provides additional repair or replacement coverage for items that are typical exclusions in home warranty plans.

Gold Upgrade Option – brand new to the Industry, this option provides added coverage for service items (such as permits, haul away, code violation upgrades, cranes and refrigerant recapture) that are not included in the typical home warranty plan.
