RISMEDIA, February 13, 2009-Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC has announced that Rick Davidson, president and COO for Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates, will assume the additional role of chief operating officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate effective yesterday. In his expanded role, Davidson will direct the operations, education, mortgage, field services programs and communication throughout the Coldwell Banker organization, its regional offices and its 3,700-office affiliate network around the world.

Davidson was appointed president and COO of Coldwell Banker Commercial in May 2006, and since then has been credited with reinventing Coldwell Banker Commercial and its value proposition. He was also previously responsible for the regional operations of Coldwell Banker Commercial in Washington, D.C., for 10 years prior to founding his own Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliate company in 2003.
Davidson is a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., and is a recognized leader in the real estate community. He is also a dedicated mentor to young professionals and has been recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters for his charitable work and contributions to that organization.
Davidson replaces Charlie Young, who was appointed chief operating officer for ERA Franchise Systems LLC also effective today. “Charlie has made significant contributions to Coldwell Banker since joining the brand in 2004, and we wish him well with his new endeavors.”
