RISMEDIA, October 20, 2010—Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC announced the addition of Charleston, South Carolina-based real estate firm The Beach Company to its franchise network. Founded in 1945, The Beach Company’s residential division will now operate as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Beach Company under the direction of its broker in charge and director of residential brokerage, Ben Schuyler. Beach Residential, a division of The Beach Company established in 1991, handles distinctive properties in a wide range of styles in locations from Downtown Charleston to the Barrier Islands and beyond.

“We are excited about the addition of such a dynamic firm to our network as we experience continued growth,” said Sherry Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. “We welcome The Beach Company—and South Carolina’s famed Charleston real estate market—as we add a new state to our network.”

“The opportunity to gain national exposure by partnering with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate while maintaining our longstanding reputation and 65-year brand tradition was a key factor in our decision to affiliate with Sherry and her team,” said John Darby, president and CEO of The Beach Company. “Our new association with the established and recognized Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand will enable us to be even more competitive as we continue our growth.”

One of the exclusive tools that Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate offers to its network is PinPoint, a product that Schuyler feels will keep his agents a step above the competition. PinPoint provides agents with access to the U.S. database of Meredith Corporation—the publisher of Better Homes and Gardens magazine—comprising more than 85 million consumers who interact with the Better Homes and Gardens brand through the magazine, website, and other sister brands.

“Providing our agents the ability to create automated marketing materials and tap into a database of potential leads is a clear advantage in today’s market,” explained Schuyler. “We are confident that our affiliation with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate will propel our firm to the next level in service and help us to exceed our clients’ expectations.”
