Florida Prudential Companies Continue Aggressive Growth Strategy

RISMEDIA, March 28, 2011—Local Florida Prudential real estate companies Prudential Palms Realty, a member of RISMedia’s Real Estate Information Network® (RREIN) and Prudential Lakewood Ranch Realty recently announced the acquisition of Hunt/Realty Express on Main Street in downtown Sarasota.

“The agents at Realty Express will be a great addition to our company. With the outstanding resources and tech systems available through Prudential, the sales associates will be able to provide an even higher level of client service” comments Steve Bailey, executive vice president for Prudential Palms Realty.

This marks Prudential’s seventh acquisition since opening in Sarasota in 2002. It is also an indicator of the company’s aggressive but prudent growth strategy—in spite of a challenging real estate market. Through this most recent acquisition, Prudential will add a prime downtown location.

“We are forging ahead with a growth plan that positions us as one of the region’s leading real estate companies,” says Helen Sosso, president and CEO of Prudential Companies. “With the growth trend in Sarasota in the downtown marketplace, it’s essential to have a central location where the public can stop in and access the latest real estate information.”

Prudential’s new Main Street location will reflect the real estate industry’s shift toward online technologies as one of the most efficient ways to match homebuyers and sellers. Onsite agents will assist clients with online searches to simplify the home-buying process. The new state-of-the-art office is slated for a grand opening in mid-2011.

Prudential continues to grow by increasing its number of locations through acquisitions, expanding its number of agents through acquisitions and organic growth, rolling out new products for its international division and capitalizing on its affiliation with the Prudential brand. From about 75 agents in 2002, the firm has grown to approximately 175 agents today. Recently, Prudential was ranked No. 1 in Lakewood Ranch in every real estate sales category for 2010, according to Trendgraphix, one of the nation’s leading providers of MLS-based real estate reports.
